The D-Files

The D-Files, produced by the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC), have been written by science teachers and LEA science advisors, with help from staff, on topics chosen by themselves as being those most appropriate to the Key Stages Three and Four age level. They are intended as a fun activity which can be expanded as much as the teacher, the student's ability, imagination or time will allow. The level of difficulty is reflected in the file number - the higher the number, the harder the file.

There are seven D-Files plus a teacher's pack:

*The atom smasher
*Can you be a special agent?
*Bad hair day
*No fun in the sun
*The missing eye
*To 'D' or not to 'D'
*Plastic surprises

STFC is a part of the Research Councils UK (RCUK) partnership of research councils.
