Science watch: secondary science skills 1
Here is a full and interesting two-year course for learning science in early secondary years. It will promote the development of sound skills in all areas of science, providing a secure foundation for further study. Pupils will learn through the excellent practical work - which always has clear and precise instructions - rather than through trying to learn by heart a mass facts.
Science Watch is designed for the whole class - pupils of all abilities. Each year's work consists of the Pupil's Book containing the basic course, and a pack of sixty Worksheet Masters containing supplementary and extension materials which follow on from the book. There is also a short Teacher;s Guide covering the whole course.
Book 1 covers:
- Describing and sorting
- Laboratory safety
- Heating materials
- Cells
- Liquids and solutions
- Groups of cells
- Forces
