Science debate kit: food security
The Food Security Debate Kit aims to show students how complex the topic of global food security is, and to inspire them to consider and explore some of the main issues surrounding the ethics of food production.
The kit provides all you need to get your students discussing the associated personal, social and economic issues and to help them appreciate the power and limitations of science. The structure shows students how to build a discussion and back up their opinions with facts.
The kit follows our tried and tested format, based on character cards and lesson notes; the activity takes very little preparation and is designed to last around 50 minutes.
