Scalar or vector?

This resource reinforces the concept of scalar and vector quantities. In the first task pupils are asked to define and give examples of each type of quantity. In the second task pupils are asked to identify the quantities that could be measured on a lorry and the third task asks pupils to categorise them as scalar and vector. The tasks can be completed in class or some can be used for independent study.

The activity includes:

  • teacher notes
  • adaptable presentation
  • adaptable student activity sheet
  • suggested responses
