How do big oak trees grow?
This infographic asks the question 'Where does the mass of a tree come from?' and looks at the misconceptions that can surround this. It explains why it is important to establish student misconceptions and how to overcome them using the RADAAR (research, anticipate, diagnose, address, assess, review) framework. In addition, it looks at the importance of language in the teaching of this topic and how this leads to misunderstandings.
