This design and technology activity looks at metal packaging linked to special events. After investigating various examples of such packaging, children decide on an event and work together to design a metal package for an unusual item that is not usually associated with this kind of packaging. They then design and make a prototype of the packaging and present their final packages to the class. In a second activity children create a promotional campaign for their product including a television advert. This resource has been provided by the Metal Packaging Manufacturers Association, (MPMA).
