Drama: Collision Course
Collision Course is a comedy play from the Association for Science Education (ASE) and it involves spaceships, gods and the laws of physics! The play follows the attempt of spaceships to save the world from an incoming meteor despite the unintentional interference of the gods.
Drama is very popular with students and can be used to stimulate discussion and debate. This play takes place in outer space and on Mount Olympus. Students will enjoy performing the play, but there are ample opportunities for discussing some basic physics around the laws of motion and the motion of the planets.
Nick McIvor has specially written this play for Science Year. Teachers are free to copy the script and use it internally.
Any institution is entitled to produce the play for a non-paying audience without making any further payment. However, if the play is to be performed with a charge to audience members, a licence must be obtained. [All professional, recording and broadcast rights are withheld.]
