Issues in design education

Issues in Design Education addresses particular concerns at the heart of current (1990) educational change. It focuses on the need to teach Design cohesively throughout all levels of education. A vast range of Design issues is explored and the common ground shared by Art and Design and Design and Technology is assessed in terms of how it can provide beneficial interaction in curricular development.

Design educational issues are discussed by practitioners, theorists and teachers with the objective of informing and encouraging teachers of all subjects across the curriculum, whose participation is vital to the creation of a 'Design Culture'.
