Bronze award: tree for life
This project revolves around the subject of trees and the life that trees support. The activity links to the work of the OPAL project.
The project should take about 5 hours to complete. There are three activities in this pack. They can be used to learn more about trees.
Activity 1: Tree trouble
In this activity students can explore trees and find out what difference it makes to animals and plants if a tree is chopped down.
Activity 2: A special new tree
In this activity you can carry out some research to find out why people like trees and choose one special tree.
Activity 3: Goodbye old tree
In this activity you need to be really creative to think about the ways an old tree can be used.
