This video from Teachers TV focuses on sustainable building in California. Google now generates 30 per cent of their energy needs through extensive solar panelling installed across their Silicon Valley campus. The new building for the California Academy of Sciences, which opened in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park in September 2008, includes a living roof planted with native grasses and flowers, extensive solar panelling and energy saving technologies.
