Have You Got an Activity for...?
A wealth of mathematical activities arranged by topic. Some of the activities are suitable for use with older primary school-aged students whilst the majority are aimed at the secondary classroom.
Contents:
- Involving fractions: Egyptian fractions, fraction pairs, fraction flow charts
- Involving decimals: four in a line, square differences, function machines
- Involving negative numbers: number mapping, four in line, finding all possible routes
- Algebraic Activities: algebraic magic square, using geometrical shapes for algebra
- Involving area: paths round a pond, areas on a flag, catenary bridges
- On quadrilaterals: shapes on a pin board, sorting quadrilaterals, properties. There are also instructions and cards for loop card games in all the above aspects of mathematics.
