Science debate kit: drugs in sport
Should ALL drugs be banned in sport? A structured practice debate on a controversial topic. The different ‘rounds’ of the debate help students think through the issues and reconsider their opinions. The structure also shows them how to build a discussion and back up their opinions with facts.
The kit provides all you need to get your students discussing the associated personal, social and economic issues and to help them appreciate the power and limitations of science.
The kit follows our tried and tested format, based on character cards and lesson notes; the activity takes very little preparation and is designed to last around 50 minutes.
