Learning skills for science: teacher's guide

The Learning Skills for Science (LSS) programme was first produced at the Weizmann Institute of Science. The Gatsby Science Enhancement Programme (SEP) together with the Nuffield Foundation developed the materials to be used in the UK.

This collection aims to enhance the quality of science teaching and learning by providing teachers with:

activities which develop students’ scientific communication skills
resources and pedagogy that can be easily integrated into a variety of scientific subjects
flexible teaching and assessment tasks suitable for different levels of students and a variety of learning styles.
Materials are written for 14-16 year old students. Each set of resources look at six different skill areas.
